watched about 5 hours of other bands (like body count, and korn), and this was by far the best of the night, one of the best shows i've seen. I was also at the APC show they include on the Stone and Echo boxed set dvd, both Tool shows, and The Smashing Pumpkins, all at red rocks, so it isn't a clear best, but we'll call them a relatively close tie. Anyway, this show did have probably the best stage set (and fire) of any show i have been to so far. Sound was par for red rocks- those 'muted' moments aren't just from the recording, it happens regularly due to the bass wave being so massive, enhanced by the shape of the amphitheater, which seems to interfere with the high notes when it developes. But, when you are there, even the bass wave phenomenon adds character, and you can feel the bass of course, and the sound in general is fantastic. In case anyone is thinking of catching a show there (do).
